Today is Day 20 of YOUR Hedgy's Guide to Calm 21 Day Challenge!
Today you are going to use another one of your Super Powers that I haven't mentioned before...yes! YOUR 7th Super Power to Becoming a Super-Calm YOU! Super Power SMILE.
In Hedgy's Guide to Calm (found under Hedgy's Store at supercalmhedgy.com), Hedgy writes, "You are probably wondering how a hedgehog can help you with anything, especially teaching you how to calm yourself down. Well, I am cute. Just looking at me will make you smile. You’re smiling, aren’t you? When you smile, you automatically calm down!"
Of course, Hedgy is joking and goes on to guide YOU to calm by teaching YOU how to use YOUR 6 Super Powers to Becoming a Super-Calm YOU! But, in reality, SMILE. is a very powerful Super Power that benefits YOU and everyone around YOU!
Smiling signals to our brain to release endorphins. It also tells the brain to release neuropeptides — tiny proteins that can help lessen stress. A study conducted by psychological scientists at the University of Kansas found that “smiling during brief stressors can help to reduce the intensity of the body’s stress response, regardless of whether a person actually feels happy.” - auraglow.com
Today, YOUR challenge is to go look in the mirror and SMILE. at yourself. Then make a conscious effort to SMILE. at everyone you see today. Use YOUR Super Powers STOP. & LOOK. and take note of how your body is responding to using Super Power SMILE.
Super Power SMILE. is so powerful because it helps YOU to calm down AND YOUR SMILE. helps everyone you use it on calm down too!
Hedgy's Guide to Calm MERCH!! Called Hedgy's Mirror Messages mHm Super Power SMILE. is so extremely powerful that I put it on a T-Shirt! (found under Hedgy's Store at supercalmhedgy.com) The mirror image of SMILE. is on the front of the T-Shirt. Every time YOU look in the mirror, YOU will see the feel-good message to SMILE. (and therefore calm down). On the back there is a picture of a smile for everyone else to see and (hopefully) SMILE. too!
See??! YOUR Super Power SMILE. is contagious! It can spread calm!! Like ALL of your other Super Powers, Super Power SMILE. will take some practice. So, head on out, and SMILE.! Practicing using YOUR Super Powers all day every day will prepare you for being to calm yourself down when you are stressed, depressed, anxious, excited, upset, sad, or mad.
I have guided YOU to calm and now it's up to YOU to become a Super-Calm YOU! If you need to review using STOP. LOOK. LISTEN. WIGGLE. BREATHE. and VISUALIZE. independently before using them in conjunction with each other today, then please go back and watch the prior videos.

You will be able to calm your nervous system down when you need it most. Practice using YOUR Super Powers STOP. LOOK. LISTEN. WIGGLE. BREATHE. VISUALIZE. & SMILE. all day every day for for the next 21 Days and YOU will be a Super-Calm YOU will the ability to share with YOUR children, family, and friends how they can also use THEIR Super Powers to create a community of calm. Start by singing Hedgy Calm Action Song out loud or to yourself using your inner voice even as soon as you wake up in the morning. Slow it down and begin to use each Super Power.
Repeat all day long, especially before your go to sleep at night. Practice using YOUR Super Powers STOP. LOOK. LISTEN. WIGGLE. BREATHE. VISUALIZE. and SMILE. in conjunction with each other, all day, every day and be one step closer to becoming a Super-Calm YOU!
The individual Super Powers are powerful when YOU use them on their own, but Super powerful when used in conjunction with each other.
Practice! Practice! Practice! even when you don't need them, so YOU know how to use them when YOU DO need them!
